I often benefit from the fact that my mum is very picky when it comes to her make up. For example, she only really wears different shades of red nail polish, which means that any pinks, blues and purples she receives are handed straight into my collection. For blush, my mum sticks with the pinks, and that is how the Sleek Blush by 3 Palette in the colour Lace 367, which is a very coral palette, found its way into my make up drawer.
The Sleek Blush by 3 palettes are a combination of three pigmented blushes (two matte, one shimmery) all grouped into one compact palette. These blush colours have been my staples for almost two months now, and I use combinations of the colours almost every day.
Starting off with the matte colours, we have “Crochet”, the orange-y colour, and “Chantilly” which is more on the red side. As with all of Sleek’s blushes, the colours are wonderfully pigmented and only a slight swipe of my brush is needed for a great colour payoff. I really do mean in when I say a slight swipe (light hand) is needed, as they are so pigmented they can easily slide into looking clown-ish – I’ve even found myself wiping off some of the colour from the cheeks in the past where I have accidentally applied too much. I have also found these to be very long lasting, and don’t remember when I have ever needed to top them up. As they are coral blushes they are just a bit more versatile than a pink blush colour; by this I mean I can use them to simply bring colour to my face, a bit like a bronzer, or I can use these colours on the apples on my cheeks for the desired blush effect.
The shimmery colour in the middle “Guipure” would have to be my favourite. I have generally been in to shimmery blushes recently and that makes this colour to perfect for me. It is another lovely coral choice that can really brighten up your appearance, you can also take just a little bit of it to the higher points on your face (like your cheek bones) to highlight them (perfect if you have a deeper skin tone).
Overall I have truly been loving this blush palette. It is so easy to work it and very versatile, and as it’s so compact it’s a lot easier to grab than my much bigger blush palette which has collected dust since starting uni. I would definitely recommend for everyone to purchase it – it retails at only £9.99 from Boots and Superdrug, which averages at around £3.33 per colour, a pretty good deal.
In other news… my tripod is here – I am so excited to start on outfit posts again!
Another lovely Sleek blush and a palette as well – I can’t wait to try the Rose Gold I bought a while back :o). Xx
Great timely post! As it happens, I’ve been on the look out for a new blusher, something light and blends well for day wear but is still visible. I might just try this 3 in 1 palette! xx
