My friend Andre and I probably wandered around Central London for a good 15-20 minutes looking for a location to shoot these photos. We ended up in a tiny alleyway (with a very convenient plain grey wall), pausing every ten seconds as we took these photos due to people rushing around on their lunch breaks. Blogger problems: finding outfit-shooting locations, having to pause for pedestrians probably thinking “what on earth are these guys doing?”, the everyday struggle for natural light and realising that it’s probably a good idea to have an Instagram theme.
First world problems…
I found this lace top in the back of my wardrobe that I seem to have forgotten I actually owned. I really wanted to stick to an black look with this outfit, and as you can see the only contrasting colour is the gold on my coat. I matched the gold zips up with my gold Michael Kors necklace (c/o the boyfriend), but it decided to hide away in all of these photos. Lastly, I paired it with this mini skirt from Asos, which is so tight it’ll definitely get a comment from my dad if he saw me in it, but, you know – not everyday skater skirts, sometimes show off your body.
Unfortunately I’ve had to say goodbye to my Zara knee highs, they couldn’t even last me a year. Whilst I procrastinate over getting their broken zips repaired, these Chelsea boots from Topshop have quickly become my new staple, and I’m really loving them at the moment. Topshop is great at translating exactly what I have in my head, into what they offer out in their shop – and that is exactly what happened with this coat and these Chelsea boots.
Love this look, I really want a bomber so am off to check out that Topshop one now! These photos have turned out great, so definitely worth the awkwardness of shooting around pedestrians haha 😉
