My go-to eyeliner for the past two years has been the Collection 2000 Fast Stroke eyeliner – the eyeliner is almost perfect. It’s dark and bold, lasts for ages, and literally does not run out. I decided a few weeks ago to step out of my comfort zone and picked up this Seventeen High Drama Intense Liquid Eyeliner from Boots.
I really don’t know very much about Seventeen beauty products, and this is actually my first ever purchase from them. I wanted to try this out as it has a pretty thin tip, which is a nice change from the Collection 2000 tip which I feel is more on the thick side. Before Collection 2000 I was all about the brush tips, and both the Collection and Seventeen tips are both pen, so I may return to the brush tip once this product runs on.
On to the product itself, it has served me pretty well. It’s very easily to apply, and does come out very bold and black. I’ve also found it to last a long time. This product oce made my eyelid burn a bit, which is also the case with the Collection 2000 liner, which has made me think that’s my fault and not the fault of the actual eyeliners. However the downfall of this product is that it truly isn’t water resistant. I was out once shopping on Oxford Street and it started raining, but not heavily enough for me to whack out my umbrella. After a while I found myself trying on 100 outfits in New Look, and when I looked in the mirror I was shocked to find that it literally looked as if I was wearing no eyeliner whatsoever.
I probably wouldn’t repurchase this again, and will continue on my hunt to find the perfect eyeliner. Suggestions are welcome!
