Sometimes people use striped bars to go accross the screen on the top of their layouts. An example of one can be seen here. They are extremely simple to make and can be done on any program. I am making this tutorial as a request.

First open up a brand new image sized 545 x 24. Mine if filled with a white solid background. Next, using the selection tool (make sure there is no feather), select a small section at the beginning of this bar. Use the brush tool to colour it in any colour you want - I'm using the colour #6CB8F8. Press CTRL+E to lock this in place after you have coloured it in.

Repeat this step twice, but with different colours (I'm using #D7E7F3 and #89B3D3), make the boxes different sized. The first box I do will be small, the second big.

Now we're going to do two 1 pixel striped, both coloured in white. There's an example to the right.

Now we're almost done. Using the selection tool again; at no feather, select all of the boxes and copy it (CTRL+C). Paste it (CTRL+E) [There should be dots around it], drag it to the end and press (CTRL+D) to lock them in place. Repeat this step until you have covered the whole bar.

To finish off, duplicate your base layer and on this duplicate to go Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise. Match your settings to mine:
Uniform
Noise: 50%
Monocrome: Ticked
Set that layer to normal at 30%. Then merge together all of your layers. Voila. :)
