Childhood Shiz
A little while ago I was browsing Facebook, waiting for Big Brother to resume after the ad break (SAM PEPPER TO WIN LESS THAN THREE), when I saw that somebody had posted on somebody elses wall the video ‘the greatest freakout ever‘. I’ve watched all of those videos (they’re pretty funny), but they reminded me of this video I once watched (above), where a family gave a little boy a Christmas present inside an X Box package.
If you can’t be bothered to watch the video above – the boy opens up his present, see’s an X Box package, get’s pretty excited; just to find that the contents of the box are not X Box related.
Then he gets upset. I watched that video and thought if I ever did that; I’d probably just do it as a joke and have a real X Box ready to give him when he got upset. *Cue angel smilie here if I had one*
That reminded me of Christmas presents growing up.
Christmas presents are meant to be a surprise, and they always were from my friends; but never from my parents, “open the Argos catalog and pick something, we’ll tell Santa.”
Ahaha.
I don’t think I ever actually believed in Santa, not as much as I believed in the Tooth Fairy at least. My parents were really bad are keeping up the whole Father Christmas lie (one time they forgot to put the presents under the tree and said that Santa delivered it to them and put it in their room). Plus – in school, the guy that always dressed up as Father Christmas was clearly the janitor.
I just thought I’d share that with you, as you can probably guess I have nothing else to blog about.
Regarding the site; expect a new premade layout soonish and a new website layout… by September / In September.
Q: What ‘childhood characters’ did you believe in when you were young?
